Well, I've failed to respond to Colitis treatment. Symptoms got worse with Crohn's treatment. It doesn't even seem to matter what I eat, or when. But the pain and malaise persist.

Could be, since nothing else seems to help! Appendicitis is just an infection in the body and like any other infection, could probably be at a low or mid level for a long time. I'm no doctor but I have strange stomach issues as well and what I eat doesn't seem to correspond with the pain. I've always been paranoid about by appendix for some reason. Hmm...
In any case, wishing you well for your surgery. We will see you on the other side (and hopefully you'll start to solve your mystery)...
